The Wixey WR360 digital angle gauge has been featured in “Model Engineers Workshop” for an interesting application. The article consists of Howard Lewis’ use of the digital angle gauge as an aid to sharpen drills. He began by using a clamp to set it parallel to the face of the grinding wheel. The aluminium is then milled to a rectangular block, set at 59 degrees with the assistance of the WR360. Once a tip angle of 118 degrees is positioned, the vice is tilted up at 45 degrees for a 90 degree vee to be cut by the end mill. This is just one useful example of how our Wixey digital angle gauge can be used to execute a task comfortably with precision.
